We really enjoyed Skopelos, the town is set on a hillside above the harbour. It's a typical Greek town with narrow winding roads and whitewashed houses. There are plenty of restaurants and tavernas with stunning views over the bay. If you are looking to stay here there is ample accommodation from simple pensions or hostels to larger hotels. One such hotel is the Amalia which is comfortable, welcoming and very reasonably priced. You can go on several day cruises from the harbour and as the waters around the Island of Skopelos are in a marine conservation area don't be surprised if you see the odd turtle or dolphin.

Tips: Don't forget the mozi repellent!
