TYPICAL SCENE IN A CORFU VILLAGE

CORFU

Possibly the most popular of all the greek islands Corfu still has a lot of it's original charm even though the coastal resorts continue to change with tourism.

We visited this island paradise twice in the 1980's, staying at Agios Stefanos on the north west coast. It has a long sweeping sandy beach with a cliff top to the north and a small harbour to the south.

It's a lovely resort with plenty of tavernas and restaurants and one or two reasonable hotels such as the hotel Nafsika. Good places to visit include Corfu town and Paleokastritsa.

Tips: Don't forget the sun block and you will need a plug-in mozi repellent. and of course a continental plug adaptor.
